We are Almost Off to SA....

We on our way to Chile on May 22nd and then to Ecuador on June 11th. We have our Pro-biotics, Activated Charcol, Stomach meds, Altitude Sickness Meds...Snake Bite Kit....and a few other goodies packed....Check back for photos and posts of our travels and ministry work as we "attempt" to fit in where the need is greater. THANK YOU everyone for all your support, prayers and assistance. Without so many of you encouraging us we would not have been able to go.... So THANK YOU.

Jehovah answers prayers!

Well, after our Kingdom Hall remodel was done, we received offers on not only our home but our 2nd home as well! BOTH SOLD! Jehovah has answered our prayers in a way that only HE can! We have been busy with the local congregation in Poteau, OK, Our Assembly, CO visit (bye Bro and Sis Bickham.... we will miss you!)... Memorial season now over, we are getting prepared to go to South America for our "check it out" visits.... We received a letter back from Chile and they recommended us to check out the Vina del Mar Congregation! We are so excited to be going soon. We also heard back from Ecuador! The Cuenca Congregation! We are also excited to be visiting Cuenca. We of course have read all we can find so far on both areas, but ultimately it will probably depend on Cost of Living and most healthy place for us and our needs.

We just returned from visiting Roatan, Honduras which we enjoyed but felt the area would be too difficult for us to move there as needgreaters. But we enjoyed our visit! We leave for Alaska May 3rd to visit all our friends there before our move to South America. We will keep everyone updated as we progress and make our plans to re-locate.

Hey Ya'll! We are making progress as we downsize in our effort to be NEEDGREATERS! Let me tell you about us.... Ronnie and I lived in Alaska for 15 years and then due to no fault of our own....2 of our 3 Sons....decided to marry southern gals....hence....grandkidos....Soooo, we promptly packed up our dogteam and mukluks and moved to OKLAHOMA!!! We are now in a situation to do more for Jehovah so we have been moving in that direction....turtle speed but moving nonetheless....

We had a great yardsale this past weekend and now the barn and (part) of the house is empty...well, nearly empty! So far So Good! Jehovah is blessing our efforts to simplify and move forward. We have been looking at several countries and so far our look....as been in Chili, Ecuador, Honduras and Nicaragua.... I have had wonderful emails from several brothers and sisters and although we are still waiting on the branch letter for direction...WE have pretty much concluded Cuenca is right for us.... IT may NOT be what Jehovah wants and so we are trying to get as much feedback as possible to allow Jehovah to direct us....

The reason we are looking at Cuenca so far....is Temperature, Air Quality (Ron has a lung condition) and Crime. If ANYONE has any advice PLEASE.... we are humble ole okies and we can take it! Give us direction! We love our brotherhood and know you will give us the best advice you can! (right????) :)
